On January 17, 1811, a massive horde of angry peasants under the loose leadership of Miguel Hidalgo and Ignacio Allende met a small Spanish army at Calderon Bridge outside of Guadalajara. Would Spanish determination and training or Mexican numbers and rage carry the day?
